Diagnostics & Imaging

Getting the right diagnosis is essential to getting the best treatment, but this can be difficult with kids, especially babies who can’t talk about their symptoms. New methods for detecting and quantifying disease in children, using a wide variety of non-invasive techniques, is a major area of research at Georgia Tech. From 3D technologies, CT and MRI scan improvements, ultrasound and more, along with AI’s ability to interpret advanced imaging for more precise, personalized care, innovation in advanced imaging continues to present strong opportunity for improvement in pediatric care.
