The Georgia Tech Pediatric Innovation Network will be hosting the Shriners Annual State of Science meeting on Georgia Tech campus Thursday Feb 22 – Saturday Feb 24, 2024.

Shriners Children’s® mission is to provide the highest quality care to children with neuromusculoskeletal conditions, burn injuries and other special health care needs within a compassionate, family-centered and collaborative care environment; provide for the education of physicians and other health care professionals; and conduct research to discover new knowledge that improves the quality of care and quality of life of children and families. This mission is carried out without regard to race, color, creed, sex or sect, disability, national origin or ability of a patient or family to pay.

Feb 22 – AI Course and code-a-thon. Georgia Tech students will be paired with clinicians.

Feb 23 – Talks on Rare Disease, AI Applications, Clinical Applications, and Genetics/Genomics, and Motion Analytics, followed by a networking reception and student poster session with prizes for best poster.

Feb 24 – Motion Analytics and AI Application sessions followed by lab GT tours. Adjourn mid-day.

In addition to speakers, we will be hosting a poster session for students (with prizes for best poster), and an AI in Healthcare code-a-thon Thursday the 22nd where students will be paired with clinicians. Below is a list of presentation topics from Shriners clinicians and Georgia Tech faculty.
